MnDRIVE Seminar Series in Control and Robotics

The MnDRIVE Initiative and its focus on Robotics, Sensing, and Manufacturing presents a unique opportunity to engage students, faculty, and industry, and exchange ideas and experiences in these interdisciplinary research topics within the overarching theme of Control and Dynamical Systems. To this end, our objective is to organize a seminar series that builds on the ongoing activities within the Control Science and Dynamic Systems (CSDy) Center at the University of Minnesota. The CSDy Center is one of the earlier centers at the University of Minnesota, founded by the late Professors E. Bruce Lee and Larry Markus in 1963, and it has played a pivotal role ever since in driving research and education in the controls area across the nation. Through the years the focal activity of the Center has been a CSDy Seminar Series which brought resonance among faculty and students. The objective of the MnDRIVE Seminar Series in Control and Robotics is to go above and beyond the current model by fostering further interaction between university and industry and by promoting future collaborative and entrepreneurial efforts. We aim to provide an invaluable educational forum for our graduate students by brining in leading researchers and industrial talent to Twin Cities campus.
