THREE-PHASE EXCITATION
A rotating sinusoidally distributed winding is excited with a constant
current. The resulting rotating flux density field distribution is shown
plotted along a circular path in the middle of the air gap (which is greatly
enlarged for visual purposes). The axis of this sinusoidal field is also
rotating as indicated.
